- For optimal burning, trim your wick to 1/4″ before each lighting to avoid smoking and overheating.
- Always protect the surface on which the candle sits.
- The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquefy. This will ensure an even burn for each light.
- Refrain from burning candles longer than 3 hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than ¼” of wax at the base.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, pets, or small children.
- Candle jar will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling
- Once the flame is extinguished make sure the wick is upright and centered.

The New Diptyque For Me!
Scent Notes: Jasmine.
Scent Strength: Strong
I am so happy to have found ‘Boy Smells’ candles. The packaging is gorgeous and you can smell the candle through the cardboard box, always a good sign. I am busy working my way through the scents. The candle sits in our large lounge and smells good even when unlit. If I’m being honest “Anjelica” is a bit too floral and fruity for me, the jasmine really stands out. However, always happy to support a course. It is by no means a terrible scent - if you enjoy a very pretty perfumed garden then this is the scent for you. I previously bought ‘St. Al’ and I much preferred the scent - it was a bit more unusual and hard to pinpoint the exact notes of the candle. It was certainly less feminine. As I said, I am keen to work my way through all the scented candles that appeal to me from ‘Boys Smells’ because asides from the ironic name, the quality of the candle and the scent they produce are second to none and give a certain other brand a real run for their money. Too often scented candles can be a little like Potpourri,(remember that?) in that you can only smell them when you stand directly over them. Not the case with ‘Boy Smells’.
