Tatine Holy Basil Scented Candle
The Holy Basil Candle by Tatine features dark green herbal notes blended with wild meadow grasses, cannabis, and sacred basil. Drops of dark violet oil, anise, and garden mint round out top notes of Absinthe, clove buds, and green vine tomato. A spiritual ceremony; an offering.
Like the evolution of a memory retained, each Stars Are Fire candle vessel exists beyond its initial lifetime. Every piece of glassware is individually mouth-blown, each unique to the next, and created to be beautifully repurposed as drink-ware.
Housed in a unique vintage parcel style made from 100% post-consumer soft cotton paper, its origami-folded base reveals a smattering of stars. The scent of each candle leaves its mark on the packaging and can be slipped in a drawer to emit a delicate fragrance.

- For optimal burning, trim your wick to 1/4″ before each lighting to avoid smoking and overheating.
- Always protect the surface on which the candle sits.
- The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquefy. This will ensure an even burn for each light.
- Refrain from burning candles longer than 3 hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than ¼” of wax at the base.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, pets, or small children.
- Candle jar will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling
- Once the flame is extinguished make sure the wick is upright and centered.

Holy Basil Reviews
I have tried this one and Forest Floor (holy grail) by Tatine. This is a dark, green, herbaceous scent, and like all the other Tatine candles I have smelled have a very real-to-life scent without falling flat. Yes, it does have a wonderfully realistic basil note, but there is more depth to this than that — a bit of sweetness, a tiny bit of floral but all so well blended that no one note (minus the basil as per title) dominates. In terms of other candles, Greenhouse by Earl of East has basil notes in it too but is much more sheer and lighter. I would recommend burning this in the spring or autumn, ideally in the kitchen (given the foodie connotation of course), bathroom, even living room. These have a great throw and really pack a punch, plus I am planning on reusing the pretty tumbler glass it comes in once it’s finished.
