Sensual, powdery iris elevated by spicy notes of benzoin and pink pepper.
The Ourika (Iris) Candle by Cire Trudon marries a floral top note of gardenia, rose and magnolia with the spicy notes of benzoin and pink pepper to underline the sensual and powdery nature of the iris.
“A newcomer in Cire Trudon’s Collection of Les Belles Matières, Ourika is a sensual escape – an exploration of iris’ spicy character. “
– Elizabeth, Osmology Founder
“Ourika is a sensual escape, an exploration of iris’ spicy character. Grown in fertile valleys and gardens since Antiquity, iris also played a role in the Egyptian mythology: highly symbolic, iris is associated to Horus, the falcon God that brings the sky and the earth together. At the base of the High Atlas Mountains, the Ourika Valley is where it flourishes: iris thrives on sun and an essentially pure rural life.”
– Cire Trudon
“Cire Trudon’s latest candle is based on the Iris flowers native to the Atlas Mountains’ Ourika Valley, providing a moment of scented escapism to one of the most beautiful regions in the world.”
“He’ll want to light this ultra-lavish, deep blue votive right away.”
“Sensual and spicy, this luxe candle from French candle house Cire Trudon is a pure treat for the senses. A newcomer in the Les Belles Matières collection, Ourika mixes heady notes like gardenia, rose and magnolia with spicy benzoin and pink peppercorns. It also looks almost-offensively pretty on your desk. Light her up.”
“We don’t know what perfume Rachel Green would wear but we imagine it’s something like this candle from Cire Trudon: spicy, powdery and expensive-smelling. A complex floral, it’s luxurious but not over-bearing, making it a wonderful pick in small spaces. Burn through both the candle and respective F.R.I.E.N.D.S seasons at your leisure.”

- Keep your candle in a dry and temperate environment, between 60 and 80° F.
- The first use of your candle should occur within the two first months after its reception.
- For optimal burning, trim your wick to 5mm before each lighting to avoid smoking and overheating.
- Always protect the surface on which the candle sits.
- The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquefy. This will ensure an even burn for each light.
- To preserve the fragrance, do not burn your candle for more than 3 hours straight during the first third of the candle and 1 to 2 hours during the remaining.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, pets, or small children.
- Candle jar will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling
- Should the wick require centering, gently readjust to correct position when the wax is still molten. Allow the candle to solidify before relighting.
