- For optimal burning, trim your wick to 5mm before each lighting to avoid smoking and overheating.
- Always protect the surface on which the candle sits.
- The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquefy. This will ensure an even burn for each light.
- Refrain from burning candles longer than 3 hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than 1cm of wax at the base.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, pets, or small children.
- Candle jar will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling
- Once the flame is extinguished make sure the wick is upright and centred.

Shinrin Yoku Reviews
This candle was great! Burned well and transported me back to forest walks in Washington state. A great comforting scent and gives you peace of mind.
I can't pick up any scent at all with this candle. It is so very weak.
The packing of the candle is nice and it looks great.
I've placed it in the centre of my room on the coffee table not far from where I sit and can't smell anything.
In summary, this was a disappointing waste of money, and I will never recommend this candle or Osmology.
I love this candle. It’s a deep and woody smell. I’ve been buying direct from Earl of East for a long time so it’s great to get it though Osmology direct to my door. The candle burns well and parts. I keep it in my bathroom.
Out of the two scents in the Earl of East Japanese bathing line (this and Onsen), I prefer Onsen, simply because I am a sucker for more herbaceous smells. However, that is not to say this candle doesn't have its merits, it's just not as insanely unique as Onsen. The pepper notes scared me off at first but they really just add a warmth to the scent, not a blast of eye-watering pepper. Warm and woody notes really sum it up perfectly, it is indeed a very grounding scent but also has a sheer quality to it which makes it ideal for the autumn season or late summer evenings in my opinion. I was hoping to get more of the forest itself as in the wet moss and greenery but this is definitely more focused on the tree barks.
Calming relaxing scent that develops as the candle burns and warms.
