How To Use
- For optimal burning, trim your wick to 5mm before each lighting to avoid smoking and overheating.
- Always protect the surface on which the candle sits by placing it on a heatproof coaster.
- The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquefy. This will ensure an even burn for each light.
- Refrain from burning candles longer than 3 hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than 1cm of wax at the base.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, pets, or small children.
- The candle jar will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling
- Once the flame is extinguished make sure the wick is upright and centered.

This candle smells exactly like its name. It's almost as if you can feel it charge the air with electricity! Fresh. Clean. Crisp. It's amazing and in such a beautiful glass with a well designed label. When burning, it scents the entire room, but miraculously doesn't smell much when unlit. I don't have to hide it away when I don't want to smell it anymore. I love it so much and can't wait to try more from this line.
I was very curious (and a touch sceptical) about the scent notes described for this candle, but having been a fan of D.S. & Durga’s fragrances for some time, decided to bite the bullet… I’m very glad I did, as it’s certainly the most unexpected scents I’ve experienced in a long time… As other reviewers have pointed out, it’s difficult to describe, but my initial thought after lighting it was “wow, it actually DOES smell like lightning!” There’s a zesty, almost electric quality that instantly invigorates a room. I have this in my bedroom but I think it would work equally well in a lounge or dining room; if you have guests round it’s sure to provide a talking point!
Slightly sweet, but really interesting aroma, what you'd imagine concrete after lightning to smell like! Sedate and alluring for a living room space or bedroom. Such a mysterious scent it's quite hard to describe, but so pleasant that I would definitely purchase again. Makes for a beautiful gift.
This candle is simply beautiful. It has such a unique and fresh scent that just fills the room - no matter what the size! It really delivers on the concrete and aroma, which just transports me back to my younger self walking through the streets of a quiet and sleepy city after a day of scorching temperatures - perfect for the summer! Although a little pricey, I would argue it is worth every. single. penny. as it has went above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely buy this again along with others from DS & Durga - highly recommend.
This is such a difficult candle to describe. It is almost ethereal - but utterly captivating. It fills my whole house with the strangest, original smell. It’s glorious, modern, industrial and simply my favourite smell in the world.
