How To Use
- For optimal burning, trim your wick to 5mm before each lighting to avoid smoking and overheating.
- Always protect the surface on which the candle sits by placing it on a heatproof coaster.
- The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquefy. This will ensure an even burn for each light.
- Refrain from burning candles longer than 3 hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than 1cm of wax at the base.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, pets, or small children.
- The candle jar will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling
- Once the flame is extinguished make sure the wick is upright and centered.

The smell gives me tropical island, bliss quiet beach. Absolute repurchase
This is my new fav candle and often moves around the house with me. The scent is strong and fills the (small-ish) living room when the candle is lit. My fav place for it is in the bath. When it’s on the coffee table & I’m sat near by, I can smell it even when it’s not lit. Difficult scent to describe, saw some other reviews saying they thought it had a soapy smell and I do kind of agree but that makes it sound much more unpleasant than it is. I think it’s lovely- quite sweet but fresh. Might not be for everyone but I love it. Would love to see Boy Smells bring out some candles with white more sheer holders as I think these give off bigger glow than the black holders.
Subtle scent blossom scent. Would definitely buy this candle again
This is a great summer candle, especially in 2020 when getting to a beach has been impossible! It's a little sweeter than I like hence 4 stars but if coconut is your thing you will love it.
This Lanai candle by Boy Smells is incredible. Before it is lit, the scent is quite subdued. In fact, if I had tried this before buying it I might have put it back on the shelf. The scent seems a little too laid back.
But when you light it, the scent instantly really blossoms bringing images of Hawaii to mind. It is uncanny, just how spectacular this candle has captured the essence of Pacific and the smallest Hawaiian island.
It is definitely a keeper! Highly recommended.
